Ingredients

  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (397g)
  • 400 ml of coconut milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 125g of sugar for the caramel

Preparation

  1. Preparation of the caramel: In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt the sugar over medium heat until you obtain a golden caramel. Quickly pour the caramel into a flan mold and turn it to coat the bottom and sides.
  2. Preparation of the cream: In a large bowl, beat the eggs, then add the sweetened condensed milk and coconut milk. Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Cooking the flan: Pour the cream over the caramel in the mold. Place the mold in a bain-marie and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for around 45 minutes, or until the flan is well set.
  4. Unmolding: Let the flan cool completely before turning it out onto a serving dish.
