A DIY centerpiece for Christmas
This DIY project is so quick and easy to make. You can use a variety of materials to create your centerpiece and they will all look great!
- A jar with a lid,
- Flowers (preferably dried so they last longer), can be optional.
- Thin rope or ribbon
- Cutting pliers,
- A hot glue gun,
- A glue stick.
Once you have this together, follow these steps:
- Fill the flower pot. Ideally, you will use small flowers so that they do not take up too much space.
- Tie a piece of ribbon around the lid and put it on. Make sure to wrap the other end and tie it off as well.
- Use your wire cutters to cut the wire into thin pieces. You will need to use a lot of these fine strands for this project.
- Take one end of your rope or ribbon and pass it through your wire and tie it around the lid. Take the other end and put it in the pot if you want to hang this decoration on something.
- Use your glue gun to glue your pieces of wire to the lid. Make sure to do this so that the tops of the jars are covered with wire.
- Now cut and tie your lengths of cord or ribbon into bunches of knots around the lid, using the jar and lid as a guide for where they should go, until it looks like a real flower pot ! You can instead put the dried flowers in the jar and glue the ribbon around it instead of putting it on the lid.
This pretty creation will brighten up your table for New Year’s Eve and even the New Year!
