- 500g strawberries
- 1 vanilla pod
- 200g of sugar
- 300ml of whole liquid cream
Preparation :
1. Preparation of the strawberry coulis
Wash and hull the strawberries. Mix them with 100g of sugar to obtain a coulis. Reserve.
2. Preparation of the vanilla cream
Split the vanilla pod in half and collect the seeds. In a saucepan, heat the liquid cream with the rest of the sugar and the vanilla seeds. Leave to cool.
3. Combination of the two preparations
Mix the strawberry coulis and the vanilla cream. Place the mixture in an ice cream maker and follow the machine’s instructions.
If you don’t have an ice cream maker, put the mixture in an airtight container and place it in the freezer. Stir every 30 minutes for the first 3 hours to prevent crystals from forming.
