Banana chocolate cake recipe

Ingredients :

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 200g gluten-free dark chocolate
  • 4 eggs
  • 100g coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 50g gluten-free cocoa powder

Preparation :

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 20cm diameter cake tin with baking paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the dark chocolate, stirring occasionally until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add the eggs, coconut sugar, vanilla extract and pinch of salt. Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous paste.
  4. Add the melted chocolate to the banana mixture, then stir in the cocoa powder. Mix well until all ingredients are well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cake is set and the top is slightly cracked. Leave to cool in the mold before unmolding.
  7. Serve this flourless chocolate-banana cake as is, or top it with fresh fruit or gluten-free whipped cream for an even more decadent dessert.
