Chocolate chestnut Christmas log
Ingredients :
400g dark chocolate
1 large box of natural chestnuts
1 box of 400 g vanilla chestnut cream
200g butter
200 g candied chestnuts (broken)
200 g of macaroons
100 g of icing sugar
10 cl of thick crème fraîche

Preparing the chocolate chestnut Christmas log
Break the chocolate into a container, add the butter cut into pieces and melt in the microwave.
Mix the paste once melted.
Open the can of chestnuts, rinse and drain, puree them.
Put the crème fraîche in this puree.
Crumble the macaroons and candied chestnuts.
Mix the chocolate paste, chestnut puree and chestnut cream in a large salad bowl to obtain a smooth cream.
Add the icing sugar, the candied chestnuts and the crumbled macaroons.
Let cool a little.
Line a cake mold with double aluminum foil.
Pour in the mixture and wait for the chocolate to harden.
Remove the preparation from the mold and shape it into a log by wrapping it in aluminum foil.
Refrigerate for 6 hours or more.
Before serving, remove the aluminum foil and place the log on a long dish.
Make grooves with a fork moistened with hot water.
Place small Christmas objects on top and icing sugar to make snow.
Serve very chilled.
